Crankshaft is one of the most responsible parts of an engine which delivers the power of a connecting rod to a consumer as a mechanical energy. They sustain a great dynamical load during the operating process. Therefore they are made of special materials, and particular technologies of a final process give them firmness and durability. Worn out or damaged crankshafts can be, if treated by modern machines, adjusted to measures prescribed by catalog. In MR Mechanical Service we examine the crankshafts with a magnetic flux, grind crankshafts to special measures according to a catalog, straighten crankshafts on special presses, polish and weld them. All the operations are performed on the crankshafts up to three meters of length.
Our Machine Workshop is the only one in Serbia which can perform computer measurement during crankshaft processing so the precision of processing is maximal (0,001 mm). Besides computer measurement, we also perform measurement by the most modern digital micrometers MITUTOYO of japanese production. During grinding process we use the supreme NORTON whetstones achieving the best quality of processing. Along with processing, we also insist on cleaning the crankshafts channel, i.e. on so-called plugging at the crankshafts, which can be cleaned.
